Dr. Joanne Chestnut is a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her background in ministriy started in the baptist church. As a young girl, her experience with the Lord was based upon what she was taught by her mother. She developed her own relationship with God in 2004 at which time she had a divine encounter with Christ with an experience that changed her life. Since that time, it has been Dr. Chestnut's passion and God-given assignment to use her life and experience as a testimony about the incredible impact God has made in her life. She is an avid reader of Scripture and believes the word of God to be true and innerant.
Dr. Chestnut began to really study scripture in 2005 at a Christian Center where she founded a love for the Christian-based church and discovered her calling for sharing and exegeting the word of God. Dr. Chestnut attended a ministry in training program for five years at Community Fellowship Christian Center in Riverdale, Georgia. She was later ordained as a minister in September 2019 at Jefferson Memorial Church in Johnstown Pennsylvania by the presiding Bishop Joseph McGauley III. Dr. Chestnut continues to grow in her faith and does all that she can to edify the Kingdom of God through her ministry, which is grounded in living her faith outloud for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and allowing her life to be a testimony of God's love.
The foundations of Dr. Chestnut's faith is built upon her belief in the trinity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. She believes in God the Father as the sovereign Lord and leader of her life. She believes that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross for our sins, rose from the grave, and sits at the right hand of the Father.
Dr. Chestnut also believes that the Holy Spirit is the living , breathing Spirit of God that gives us the unction to function. Her faith is grounded in the studying of scripture, a sound prayer life, and a thriving relationship with Christ.
Dr. Chestnut's hope is in God alone and her walk with God includes being kingdom minded in every area of her life, leaving judgement of others to God, and being an example of God's love and grace to everyone she meets.
In addition to a love for reading the word of God, Dr. Chestnut also enjoys studying and teaching it. Using a structured, user-friendly, one-point bible lesson, this study style makes learning and understanding God's word less intimidating and complicated.
Dr. Chestnut is able to help others apply the principles of the bible to help navigate everyday life. Join us for our monthly book club where we engage in the various stories and books of the bible to better understand how to apply God's word to our daily lives with the different situations we encounter.
